I have done a horrible job of keeping this blog updated. I pretty much forgot about it. Turns out, the last entry I wrote was about our family making it to Topeka. That was several months ago now. So what has happened since then? Wow, way too much. But here's a small update:
We have settled in to our home in Topeka (no more boxes!!) For the most part we really love living in Topeka. We have a membership to the Zoo and Discovery Center which are awesome places to take Jacob. Jonny finished his first semester at Washburn and has started his second. He is really enjoying the classes and what he has learned so far. I am working for Key Rehab and staying home with Jacob, which is the best of both worlds.
Jacob turned 2 in November, and we had a party for him here in Topeka. He is doing great and is just as lively as ever. He can be so sweet. He has learned to say please, thank you, and you're welcome. I have a hard time resisting anything he requests if he puts "please" in with it. He has started asking for the lights when I put him to bed at night. He says, "Lights on, please, Mama," as I am leaving the room. It is so cute, and it is very hard to resist. I haven't caved yet though. He is so talkative, learning new things all the time.
